I find it interesting, these poeple work for us. We pay their salerlies. I don't think the employees anywhere else are allowed to give themselves a raised. And when they do it without their bosses (us) approval, it is called embezzeling. I also find it strange that they have violated nation as they have, unfair taxes and an irresponsible government body. Isn't that why this country was founded in the first place. Well the not fun part is coming soon at this rate. Civil War second half. The government body seems to forget one thing, the US population is 300 million, perhaps ten thousand are polleticians. I hope atleast some of you are ashamed, note I say SOME. I say this because YOU have shown that the majority of you are a wonderful example of what is wrong with america. You lie, steal, and fail to even do your jobs. I personally think the majority of you should be fired. But unlike the rest of the world, we can't simply fire you, because you change the rules (laws) making that impossible. To the best of my understanding a government is a business. WE the POEPLE, are the employers, so why is it we are the ones not being served properly by those we pay to do a job. And then to make it more interesting when things aren't going your way you shut down the government. I have a more effective way to shut it down for a while. We should be the ones to determine what congress as well as senators are entitled what what benefits they are entitled to. Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson probably rolled over in their graves several times by the misuse of the powers that the government has given themselves at the expense of the American people as their employers. This is a fine example of the old saying that they are above the law and make the American public pay for all the benefits while cutting back our benefits to pay for their expenses. I hope they are enjoying all their riches. I would like to see that the congress like the president can only serve 2 four terms to help. Congress should look at their own salaries when they're looking to cut government spending. They should also take a cut in pay or get fined every time they shut down the government because they refuse to work together. Compromise is a fact of life, yet this congress feels that it's OK to hold our country hostage so that they can get their way. These people are getting paid way too much when they are supposed to be public servants. Even the President gets way to much money that should be going to teachers, police officers, retired and active duty soldiers, the old, disabled, and so many more. They should get the average income of the American people for the last 5 years. If they don't like it the only thing they can do is help the economy so the average pay would go up. These people don't deserve $150k plus a year. Think about all the thing we could do if we weren't paying them all the insane about of money we are plus all the benefits and perks they get for the rest of their lives and their families as well. Why do they get to decide how much they get paid? The rest of us don't! The average American makes about $47,000 a year and we manage to get by. Why do they get three times that plus all the health care and other benefits they get just for doing their civil duty by severing the people of our country. It's supposed to be a honor to be elected. Not a quick way to get rich and powerful. Our country's in trouble, but for some reason instead of fixing it and making if better for the people our government is making it worse by not addressing simple thing like this that could have a huge impact. It's time to fix this issue. It's time for the people of our country to come together and say enough is enough, that we won't stand by and watch our country implode like the Roman Empire. There's been a lot of damage done but we can still fix it if we don't keep sitting back letting our corrupted government dig us deeper and deeper into this hole we've found ourselves in. If we don't do something soon nobody is going to be able to help us, it will be too late. Let us make our country great again, let us put aside our differences and come together as one.
