Our pain is very real! We do not deserve to be discriminated against for having diseases, syndromes and conditions that cause chronic pain!!! It is absolutely rediculous as well as inhumane and a violation of our civil rights! What is happening? This has gone way too far...something needs to happen to help us!!! As if we don't suffer enough!!!

It is impossible to carry on a normal life in pain. The people/ Doctors making these rules must be lucky enough to not have chronic pain, well a little compassion goes a long way, I hope their family member never get turned down.

The governments interference in how doctors treat chronic pain should have NEVER HAPPENED. I am a 2 time cancer survivor with residual pain problems from radiation and surgically induced nerve pain. Before my cancer, I was also diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Anyone who has Fibro sure knows how horrible it can be. But now with the additional pain troubles I have, the lowering of my dosages is a death sentence. Believe me, Ihad tried all other routes for pain relief, nerve blocks nerve cauterization, PT, swim therapy, cognitive therapy, and a whole slew of different types of medication to try and manage my pain. Opiates were a last ditch effort to give some sort of quality of life. Even with the meds, I still have trouble functioning. But now that will be gone, and I will become even more of a burden on my family. How do we get the word out for help, how do we petition so our voices can be heard? I see a long dark road ahead, and I don't know if I am willing to travel it.

These drugs have helped save my life. By taking these meds away the sucude rate will increase among patient with chronic pain. Heroin addiction will continue no matter what. You have basically led the lambs to slaughter to stop an unstoppable problem. May be the increase in herion abuses is really from medical marijuana? I forget the state's are making a killing off the medical marijuana. I guess all chronic pain patients are faking the pain for the drugs and the chronic pain patients lifes do not matter in society. Let the doctors practice their medicine and stop treating them like criminal

Chronic pain is real. Without meds, I can't live a normal life. I can't even play with my granddaughter. Let the doctors do what they went to school to do.

I suffer from fibromyalgia and multiple herniated disks, degenerative disc disease, nerve damage through my body. Along with multiple other things. They falsely accused our pain Dr.because he has too many patients. He is the only one around. And the very best. I love him. He is the most caring, loving, kindest, Dr I ever had. He lives for his patients. He tells me he will find out what's wrong and he does everything to help me. We need him.

I suffer from chronic severe pain. I also care for a severely disabled child. By affecting my quality of life you are also affecting his. People should not have to suffer because some drug addicts with no legitimate medical issues seek these medications.

I live in chronic pain. Medically retired at 40 years old BC of back injuries due to repetitious bending at work. If I didn't have pain meds, my life would be sitting or laying on the couch. If I was a dog, they would say its inhumane to make her suffer- put her down. Not everyone that takes pain meds does it for the high. We do it to have a life. It's pitiful when doctors are scared to help their patients BC of the government.

There needs to be an agency which advocates for patients! There is no one! A doctor can stop prescribing medications which they prescribed the patient for over the last 6 years! The ER refuses to help with pain management and refuses to refer to a specialist. The Primary Care Physician can refuse to see their own patients and can refuse to refer to a specialist! The Department of Health says a complaint can be made, but it takes them 10 to 12 weeks before they even look at the complaint! There is no one to help! Why are there doctors in the USA if they can discharge and refuse to treat at any time for any reason?

I believe doctors of chronic pain patients need to establish open lines of communication with the patients and their families. Patients and their families need this inclusion as well as the support. Doctors and families need to be more educated. I believe this will help to prevent doctors from turning patients away.

I have chronic pain. Yes there are good days and bad but the bad days far outweigh the good. My pain leaves me almost bedridden some days. The pain meds I have are not enough. I deserve to get meds that will work so I can be a productive person in society. The way things sit now, that is not possible. There are so many suffering in chronic pain. Dont take away their medicine because of others abusing the srugs.
