I was a classmate of Michael's. His family deserves to know the truth. I would hope that the Marine Corps and the United States also wants to know the truth. I don't believe Kim is asking for too much. God Bless

As a Marine and Vietnam Veteran, I strongly support the effort of Mrs. Stahlman to uncover the TRUTH surrounding the mysterious circumstances of her husband's death. To accept the "official" findings of the original investigation is to tarnish the memory and reputation of a Marine Officer who paid the ultimate price for Corps and Country. This cannot stand! His family deserves and indeed has certainly earned the right to know the TRUTH and receive both CLOSURE and JUSTICE! Semper Fi

I am proud to have been Michael's mother. We want the best for his memory. For all he gave his family and his country, that is the least we can do.

It is my prayer that the military will do the right thing, and allow this young man a day of justice. His family has the right to know excactly what happened. Nothing should be assumed when a death occurs in this manner, especially one in the military.

What happend to Innocent until proven guilty? He did not murder himself unless an investigation proves this beyond a shadow of a doubt. If no investigation is completed for this marine and his family, how can anyone label it a a suicide, there is no proof if there is no investigation!

I knew Mike Stahlman as a Midshipman and suicide does not fit in this situation. This case definitely warrants a thorough investigation, especially since the family requests it.

I am the husband of the cousin of Col. Stahlman. Based on what I know of Col. Stahlman and the specifics of the injury, it is inconceivable to me that his death was a suicide.
