Ask Dr. of Political Science that works for and does research for the DoD, I find this amendment highly ignorant. Obviously it was proposed by individuals that have no idea what good political science is, and what good research the NSF and DoD funds.REPORT COMMENTS

The review process works well, and funds worthy projects that really do provide return on the investment.REPORT COMMENTS

It is really not a politician's place to determine scientific merit. That is what peer review is for. Please respect science.REPORT COMMENTS

It is very unfortunate that legislators often find it worthwhile to threaten the social sciences but hardly the physical sciences because they find physical sciences more arcane, esoteric, and technical than say, political science. Yet the political science program at NSF is at the forefront of funding research into the potential eruption of international conflicts and regime instabilities, which might threaten our own economy right here at home. These threats on the political science program must stop for national security reasons! If anything, funding for the political science program should be enhanced.REPORT COMMENTS
