Political Science research is incredibly valuable and NSF funding is a main source of support for graduate students and academics. I've been involved in 20 years of NSF-funded research that culminated in the Dept of Defense Integrated Conflict Early Warning System, a $40-million effort which provides unprecedented real-time monitoring and early warning capability to the US government. This project was entirely based on prior work by researchers in political science, largely funded by NSF. Had the Flake Amendment been in place, none of this would have been possible.REPORT COMMENTS
