Cutting research programs that benefit ALL Americans to reduce the tax-liability of our wealthiest citizens is short-sighted. It's time to put an end to the teaBAGGER nonsense, and get back to the business of running government which serves ALL Amercans.

We ought to have a Project Socrates, to insure politicians hear the truth. There is still time to respect the lessons of history. Vote against this ill-informed amendment.

The House has decided to eliminate funds for NSF. Please vote against this rash attempt to further weaken democracy in the U.S.

I am a political science PhD student. Funding political science research should not be targeted because a bloc of congressmen do not agree with the controversial research projects of the men and women who seek to advance the understanding of politics. Political Science means to make policy decisions more effective. This onslaught and degradation of a field of science, no matter what you think of it, is a dangerous precedent to democracy and the institutions the science means to strengthen. It is an insult to those who have chosen this field as a career. Enough with politicizing research for the sake of personal agendas. This measure to defund certain branches of knowledge should be protected against by both democrats and republicans.
