Both me and my wife came to US in 2008. We were working through Infosys as software engineers. We both were on H1B. We worked day and night for one of major US banking client to support their applications and keep systems up and running. Through the time I got my GC started and got my I-140 approved. My wife completed her tenure of 6 years on H1-B and now she works on H4-EAD. We have given 9+ years of our lives away from our parents, relatives, friends in US while contributing in small or big portions to US's economy. During our journey we invested in multiple forms big and small i.e. by buying home, cars, insurance, doctors, rents, visited places, hotels, stores etc. Not to mention we never missed to file tax returns, never were involved in any wrongs and always lived here with smile on our face and made friends. We have two beautiful boys both born in US. We have so many memories we made here in last decade. It is humble request that we now feel like US is our home and we want to continue to contribute towards its success. We want our kids to grow here and get all facilities as they being citizens should get. Request you to please do not cancel H4-EAD visas as this will impact families who have contributed to US in genuinely and wants to continue the same. Most of people who will get impacted are highly qualified and working at big clients and all of them are investing and paying their taxes on time.REPORT COMMENTS

Please do not ban h4 EAD as this is the only hope left out for our H1 families...not sure how the individuals with few years of gap .. for some it’s almost 10 years are more are a threat to American employees .. even it’s H4 Ead or any other visa have to go thru selection process at times it is 4 or 5 interview rounds ..employer has the judgement to select the right candidate.. and remember even after on board no employer shall pay for employee who does not fulfill the job criteria.. it’s all survival of the fittest .. point is competition is from every where and every one not just the single “H4 EAD”REPORT COMMENTS

Please don’t cancel H4ead work permit. We are here legally and paying taxes for betterment of society.Infact I have joined for master class to gain knowledge and confidence and was planning to start my own business by near future, but if this rule is revoked it’s a cruel thing that can happen to all H4 visa people.Everyone know that it takes minim of at least 10 year to get green card for H1b till that time depends are supposed to sit at home without doing anything. Please don’t revoke H4EAD rule. Finally, not all H4 is eligible for work. Those who have approved I 140 are the only category of people who can work .REPORT COMMENTS

Dear Department of Homeland Security or President as applicable, I am a Faculty working here on h-4 EAD. Please do not take away my identity and my independence. I read the news couple of days back stating DHS is going to " TAKE AWAY H4-EAD WORK AUTHORIZATION" as it is against the current President's line of thoughts. But aren't we American? I consider myself as an American. Being here for last 14 years, earned my Masters degree here but not able to find the job at right time with the employer who till file my H-1B visa. This H-4 EAD first time gave me an strength to look for the job in my field. I understand "Save Job USA" has filed the complaint against H-4 EAD and do have an anger against the group of people who work on this permit. But if you analyze the group, it comprises of all IT professionals who lost their job to another candidate of H-4 EAD." But someone like me, who works in the field of Education, or Science or Medicine we are not taking anyone's job away, rather we are EMPOWERING NATION. Why dont DHS make a category in H-4 EAD? Allow those to work who are in field of Education or Science. OR to whose who have earned Masters or higher degree here? Wouldn't that be a fair. If I had my EAD which we earn through the process of Green Card, I would not have worried so much for loosing my H-4 EAD but earning that status does not seem to possible for next 4 years. I would like DHS, Congress and President to think carefully on this from all the angles and make some "Sensible" decisions. God BlessREPORT COMMENTS

Since green card processing for H1 B candidates is very slow, please don't let H4 EAD go away, or else, dependents will have no way to work any time soon. I have been on H1 previously, and decided to move to H4 EAD because it gave me an opportunity to choose a better job.REPORT COMMENTS

Please do not crush dreams. Do not discriminate against H1B spouses. Everywhere in the world, America condemns countries and people that discriminate against women. America fights for women's rights but right here in the US, a lot of women who are here legally in the country are going to have their right to work snatched, after it was given to them.
