Afordable Care Act. What a joke. The only people I assume it became affordable to were those who have absolutely no income or work. For someone like us, working hard and struggling to stay afloat an absolute necessity (healthcare) just became a huge burden. Our premium hiked to $1300.00/mth. We no longer carry insurance and hope that at our age, we won't need to be hospitalized soon. Rather loose my house than throw my money into such a crooked system.

I have never needed to go to a hospital and rarely to the doctors. Should I be fined for not needing health insurance? Are you that greedy that after taking out taxes from my pay you now need to fine me for not wasting my money?

If someone would like to pay me a livable wage, where I can live with my family and afford to eat AND pay for health insurance, I would be all for it. I have not had health insurance coverage the last few years, except for Salud helping me, but that's not classes as insurance. I am not "poor" enough to qualify for Medicaid, but not "rich" enough to afford $90 a pay check for insurance. Oh, and then the insult is having to be fined on my taxes because I cant afford it in the first place. I was hoping this would be the opening of a door, to improve it as things went along, but it looks like it's staying the way it was set up. Majority of my friends don't have insurance for the same reason. So I guess ...... god help me if I actually do need a Dr. I probably wouldn't go to the hospital because I don't want to deal with medical bills for the rest of my life. So, if this actually HAS helped some people, I'm truly happy for them. But for me, I'm hosed.

Unfortunately, the Affordable Care Act is not affordable for me. My plan premium is set to increase this year, with the lowest possible coverage at a rate of $297/month with the first $6,450 paid out of pocket. As a full time graduate student planning to become a health profession, it's quite ironic how unaccessible healthcare is to me and in fact adds to my already overwhelming debt and stress. Sadly I fall into a minority of students that are too old to be on our parents plan, and in a state that has not expanded Medicaid, at a school that requires me to have health insurance, but does not provide any other options except to point me to the market place. My hands are tied, and I will spend $3600 in premiums and up to another $6,450 in out of pocket expenses to meet my deductibel before health insurance even kicks in for me in 2017. Essentially, as a student without income, requiring that I must spend over $10,000 on healthcare costs before my insurance will cover anything but a preventative care visit (and what good does that do me when I'm fighting a bacterial infection this winter or need to visit Urgent Care for some other ailment). This is unreasonable and I am incredibly frustrated.

I signed up for Obamacare and was later informed that my work offered me health insurance 7 months down the road. I will be getting fined either way. This is ridiculous how is this affordable.

I'm being forced into doing something I disagree with and My Government is the one forcing me to do it. If I don't participate, Big Brother, (IRS), hits me with a penalty. The fact that I can't afford the insurance stays present but the mandatory fee is still levied. I'm screwed either way.

And now in Illinois and many other states, as of January 1, 2017, Obamacare exchange insurance will NO longer be accepted at many TOP Hospitals and Health facilities because the reimbursements are too low. In effect, your insurance will be considered Out-Of-Network. You will be forced to go to Health facilities you do NOT want to go to and will be required to change your primary-care physician OR PAY OUT OF POCKET. Real Nice Government!!!!

I am not the only healthy individual that had far less expensive premiums before Obamacare. I CHOSE (not was forced) to buy a policy that covered me for catastrophic events. Since that policy does not meet the minimum level of coverage that politicians think I need, it is not offered under Obamacare. I am now FORCED - yes FORCED under penalty via the IRS to buy a policy that is costing me $300+ month more than what I chose before Obamacare. Thanks Obamacare, you are stealing almost $4000 / year from me and forcing me to buy something I DO NOT want!!

I have not seen my primary care provider for +8 more years that he didn't even know who I was, because I was too healthy and have not seen him high school. In the past I had a normal coverage for $98.00 for accidental coverage. And now even the lowest insurance cost double with $180.00+ a month. I got a salary raise this year, but that officially bumped me out of the bracket for insurance aid, so what was suppose to be a joyful event, was more of a realization that I didn't get any additional cashflow to help pay the raising rent cost of my home. I'd rather risk $4000+ for a single doctor visit with no health insurance instead of forking over, +$2160.00 dollars a year for something I will probably not utilize. And that choice is removed when the penality for not having health insurance is effectively being tax the average market price for bronze insurance. Right now I'm more concern about the present and paying catch up with the hiking rent cost, than a "what if accident" in the future. Give us an option to lower accidental insurance choice. Anything to help the healthy young people who is struggling with the raising rent cost.

My Insurance has doubled and my coverage is far less than it was before the "affordable care act". My Options for my family have dried up. I cant afford to pay all my expenses because of this forced payment I now have to make. The argument that its the same as car insurance doesn't hold water. Its not apples for apples. Car insurance protects others from a driving mistake or accident that I may cause. My Health insurance is only for me and my family. If I choose not to protect myself or my family then it is my problem to handle, and I always take responsibility for my family!

The Method behind the Madness When hearing Trump say Barack Obama was born in the United States (Period) I could not believe it was actually coming out of his mouth. Later, after giving it some deep thought I saw the light at the end of the tunnel. Donald Trump is wise far beyond his years by openly stating that Barack Obama was born in the United States. When you look back at the Treason Obama has clearly been guilty of, only a U.S. Citizen can be put to Death for Treason. If he was not a U.S. Citizen he would be a Usurper and the so called Treason he has committed would no longer be Treason but Terrorism which could give him time at Guitmo, Cuba. If Trump becomes President, Obama as a U.S Citizen will be put to death for Treason. (Period) Trump did not become a Billionaire by not looking before he leaps and he is without a doubt the leader we need to clean up the destruction Obama has done to our Country and our Constitution. There is no question this man has true vision. Feel free to share this on Social Media, it's to Our Benefit.

Please stop this. This makes no sense. Middle class is being killed by either having to buy insurance or by paying penalties. Low income family get free tax credit or Medicaid. Very high income families can easily afford it without assistance. What is the middle-class supposed to do? Insurance premiums have doubled, if not triple. Insurance companies are now charging my age, so the older you get, the more you pay and it's exponential. Average health insurance coverage with a low deductible was about $350 per month, which runs anywhere from $400-$1000 a month now, with deductible of an average $5000. Insurance companies were forced to remove pre-existing clauses and high charges for pre-existing conditions, so in return, they doubled and tripled their premiums. I don't understand why the government did not think of this. Please stop this drama and make healthcare in the United States affordable once again.
