USCIS and DOS changed the priority dates for categories all of sudden and this is causing financial and mental loss

We are legal, law-abiding, tax paying residents who have positively benefited this country in several ways through our work and culture. We are waiting for 5 years after I-140 got approved. Have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in property etc in USA. Hurt sentiments after seeing bit of hope. Yet this arbitrary and gross injustice is perpetrated upon us. We have lost many of our most productive years in this wait, careers stalled, ideas that can't be nurtured.
