The A-10 works! Why destroy a national asset? It saves lives on the battlefield and will do so in the future if it is allowed to! Give them to the Army!Mar 13th, 2014Someone from Rives Junction, MI signed.

The Army needs close air support not impeded by inter-service liaison.REPORT COMMENTS

The F35 Lightning is a failure and our Allies involved in the project dislike it as well. Our best defense contractor lobbyists should not be determining what equipment we field. The A-10, despite its age, is a vastly more suited combat aircraft to the role it plays. The F22 vastly superior for Air Superiority. The F35 program has and will continue to be an abject failure.REPORT COMMENTS

This was suppose to happen just before the first Gulf War, but didn't take place because of the war. Now is the time for sure! Great aircraft for the role!REPORT COMMENTS

Close air support is a critical function but one that often gets neglected in favor of sexier air superiority and deep strike roles. A consolidated air-ground combined arms team is essential to safeguarding troops on the ground and the most effective way to fight.REPORT COMMENTS

A proven airframe excellent in a CAS role. Transition to US Army Aviation would enhance C2 and coordination. Better than the AH 64 in time on station.REPORT COMMENTS

I think the F-35 has become the biggest waste of public money ever. Unfortuniately, its our soldiers in the field, who are going to pay the price, big time, in the next conflict using these F-35's, but hey, why should the Generals and Admirals care, when they aren't the ones in the field getting shot at. Besides, these Stealth aircraft are going to be obsolete by the end of the decade, if not before, due to new radars that the Soviets and Chinese are developing.REPORT COMMENTS

Close air support have always been an Army role. The A10 would provide that perfectly and under Army control.REPORT COMMENTS
