Hi my name is Tylor and I believe that medical marijuana needs to be legal in our state of KY. I was born with severe scoliosis and I have already had 2 spinal corrective surgeries even though I'm only 21. My doctor tried giving me a presciption for the pain like morphine and hydocodone but they make me feel worse off then before. Ya the pain lessens but the side effects are not worth it. I itch all over, I can never sleep, and I can't eat while taking my meds. I got introduced to marijuana by a good friend of mine who was tired of seeing me look like a zombie all the time. It took away my pain and with none of the other side effects that my regular pain relievers had. I called my doctor and told him that I didn't need the pills anymore that I found a better alternative medicine, he was shocked when I told him but he said off the record, if u don't hurt while smoking weed then do it. If something takes my pain away without making me feel worse off then maybe it's good for others. Lets give medical marijuana a try please for the people that really do need it.REPORT COMMENTS

I am a person whom suffered a thalmic stroke from a medical procedure. I have had great difficulty with appetite, nausea, pain and such, this part of the brain influences the perception of pain. I was prescribed large amounts of narcs to ease this situation, it helped, but ultimately I benefited more from the discrete use of marijuana. I was upfront and honest with doctors, requested help in this area, never received any guidance in this area. Casper required urine testing, I turned up positive, naturally, was then refused the narcs which I had been on for 2 years. They would rather prescribe narcs for my condition without marijuana. I prefer no narcs, but then again in life we can't control what is required to assist us with our medical difficulties. Long story, hard to condense.REPORT COMMENTS

There is over 20,000 arrest for marijuana related crimes in Kentucky. I think not only would this lower arrest rates but would also help the states financial department. Less money would be spent to house marijuana users in jails and money could be made by selling medical marijuana to the general public.REPORT COMMENTS
