Amazed that this would even be considered. Have we gotten this stupid as a nation? Regardless of how many of these people may be innocents it is simply not worth the risk. Basically it's not our responsibility - why are we trying to make it our problem? It is a fact that Syrian ideologies are in direct conflict with the fundamental Judeo-Christian ideals that our freedoms in America are based upon. Syrians know that our multiculturalism and western notions of tolerance will immobilize any resistance to their Islamic faith. Do we need to be reminded that the Islamic Law is very intolerant and cruel to Jews and Christians? Would our American women and children find themselves in harm's way when Islamic Law finds its way into American life and into our schools. I would hate to assume that people coming from Middle Eastern countries are all terrorists and will harm America should they be allowed here. And if asked why they want to come to America, I'm sure they wouldn't say, "I want to harm America." So you can't know for sure what they will do once they are here.
