Why on earth can we not do something about animal abuse? Whether it be children or adults, we have to get this under control. Make stiff penalties and put these people away, they should not be allowed to be a part of a free society. Shame on our government for not handling this problem! All animals are living, feeling, breathing are gifts from God. They feel hunger, thirst, happiness, sadness, fear, unloved, loved and they also feel pain just as much as we do. Unfortunately, the laws are not strict or enforced enough. This subject needs to be addressed immediately and seriously. True, the laws have gotten better--but they're not enough. It's our job-as "humans" to take care of animals and make sure they are not harmed in any way shape or form. They have the right to live a good life without fear, hunger, thirst, pain, torture, abuse, experimentation, exploitation or even death.
