BSL is an unfair law that needs to be abolished. Pet owners are responsible for how their pet is raised. It's pet owners that have taken certain breeds and intentionally trained/conditioned these animals to become aggressive. That's the fault of the owner, NOT the breed. All breeds can make great family pets. It all depends on the person raising/training the animal. It's NOT the dogs that are at fault. STOP blaming certain breeds for what HUMANS have done! I have been around dogs my entire life. I will always be more wary of a little dog biting me than a Pitbull. I have never even felt threatend by a Pitbull. They are sweet dogs who do what their owners tell them to do. and if that means being a bad dog, then again, it's the owner teaching them to be bad.REPORT COMMENTS

I recently adopted a 2 year old pit bull terrier from a local shelter, she is not only my dog but she's like family. Everywhere I take her people compliment her on how well behaved she is and what a great temperament she has. She's great with every one she meets, and is especially gentle with my niece and other children. Next month, I am having her enrolled in obedience classes with hopes of training her to become a therapy dog in the future. It's unfortunate that people, because of their own ignorance make judgements about these dogs. Stereotypes are inhumane.REPORT COMMENTS
