These herds are a national heritage, a treasure to be cherished and preserved. Removing them destroys a part of our country's natural history. Greed should never trump history!REPORT COMMENTS

The horses were there before the cattle. Remove the cattle and leave the horses per the 1971 law and preserve a part of American heritage.REPORT COMMENTS

The wild horses are a heritage and privilege that are representative of Americana and the old West. We can not deprive future generations of such wonder and beauty as a wild horse herd...these horses deserve to be protected and not rounded up and more than likely murdered for canned food in Mexico. Please don't have such disregard of God's creatures they deserve better!REPORT COMMENTS

Disgusting that the government's solution to over grazing is to destroy our wild horses, which have been so much a part of American history. We should be PROTECTING these horses, not inhumanely rounding them up and sending many of them to slaughter where they experience a most hideous and unwarranted death, for no fault of their own. How did people become so entitled and superior to think the only lives that matter are human lives? And that therefore it is our job to manage and control (and ultimately kill) other beings? These horses were born on these lands and it is their right to remain on them. Let's preserve not only a piece of American history but the natural habitat and animals of these lands. Stop the rounding up of wild horses!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

What is wrong with BLM and the government? The shape America is in now cant they find something better to achieve then take away our wild horses from OUR land.Make the ranchers keep their cattle on their own land not public. The wild horses should not suffer so the cattlemen can make more money fattening their herds and horses end up in holding pens or go to slaughter.REPORT COMMENTS

Please protect our wild horses by leaving them on the land where they are which is where they belong. The wild horses are protected by law. Consider removals of cattle that are NOT protected by law. Thank you.REPORT COMMENTS

The West Douglas herd has been in what is now Colorado BEFORE it was EVER a state. These horses deserve to be protected and not removed! They are beautiful and we should cherish them for their historic value, beauty, uniqueness, and as a native species which has been a part of this ecosystem for hundreds of years. Please do not decimate and eliminate these horses from the land. Thank you!REPORT COMMENTS
