It prohibits parents that need license to keep or maintain employment and to survive. Some parent have feel down on their luck and get behind. They almost can't get back on track with this license suspension. -

I have been paying $227.00 a week for the past nine years. I lost my job and have not been able to pay child support, can barely pay my rent and utilities. Instead of helping me during my time of need the State of New York has now placed it's foot on my throat to further cripple me. My licence was suspended and now even further limits who will hire me and now i can't even drive to look for a job. Way to go New York. This is the way you treat someone who has been a law abiding tax paying citizen. You have now forced me to drive illegally. I am homeless. I jus recently acquired my license after 13 years of being suspended. only to have them taken away because they wont give me a payment plan I can affiord.. and also continue to charge me for my oldest son,, who is now in the military and has been for almost 2 years.. As a direct result, I was forced to drive because I needed to drive in order to work to provide for my family and to keep a roof over my head. Moreover, consequently my license was taken away for 5 years following suspension from child support in Broward county fl. I just can't figure out the reasoning behind suspending a man's drivers liscense for being 30 days behind on child support when that man is paying every two weeks out of his check to try to catch up. By suspending my liscense you have taken away my right to work.. there isnt a single job I have been to that doesn't require a liscense. Oh yea and three years ago before it was suspended for the first time I had a class a cdl liscense I know you all don't give a******but do you realize that after a cdl is suspended that you have to wait THREE YEARS before anyone will hire you as a driver again... all because your liscense was suspended.. doesn't matter that it had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WAY I DRIVE!!!!! SUSPENDED IS SUSPENDED no matter how ****ing stupid or useless the reason is.. so I would like to thank you.
