I want those who created this train wreck to be held accountable! It is time to have a separation between government and education.Apr 12th, 2014Someone from Melrose, MA signed.

After 25 years of teaching, I am appalled at how we have reduced education down to test-taking. Enough already!REPORT COMMENTS

Stop Common Core! More children now hate school. The drop out rate is going to rise. If a product is really good it would sell itself, and the fact that so much money is being funneled into Common Core by Bill Gates and the government should show that the money is really being used as playoffs. Also, with all the money being poured into common core makes it easier for corruption and greed all at the expense of our children!!! All we hear is common core will make children more college ready... Well the fact that now so many more children HATE school those same children will not even go to college. Common core is even worse for children with learning disabilities as they are just pushed to the side or seen as a problem child. And in my opinion if you really do some research, common core is also used in the war against Christians in this country.REPORT COMMENTS

Federal "nanny" government needs to stop meddling in our children's education. Teachers and parents possess a right to decide how and what they are taught, and how and when they are tested. I hold a degree in mathematics and I can tell you Common Core math problems are not only garbage technically speaking, but some of it contains inappropriate political indoctrination. We The People will NOT tolerate this.REPORT COMMENTS

As a lifelong educator and educational researcher, I have had the opportunity to be part of longintudinal studies in schools all over America. Today, my colleagues and I see students and teachers struggling to fit into the mold of Common Core, a program on curriculum not based on longitudinal studies to prove if they are efficacious, but rather imposed on public education by business people who seem to have little understanding of how education actually works. It is harmful to children, especially early learners, who are now made to feel they are failures for not being able to interpret the convoluted testing.REPORT COMMENTS

Stop common core AND the testing. I cannot take seeing my daughters and other children throwing up, crying, and being so incredibly stressed out because of this ABSOLUTE "dumbing down" standards that you call common core.REPORT COMMENTS

Common core isn't conductive for special need and deversed learners and for districts that fall in D&F rated school systems. Common core is setting these populations up for failure. La educators and professors need to design our own standards and curriculum. Like the 10 amendment clearly states the federal gov is to stay out of education affairs.REPORT COMMENTS
