This testing wastes time for students who should be learning, exploring, creating and learning how to think outside the box. Stop Common Core testing! The only people benefiting from Common Core is BIG BUSINESS. Follow the money!Apr 12th, 2014Someone from Crosby, TX signed.

The DOE's plan for standards will enrich the owners of Microsoft/Pearson, whose only interest in local communities, is profit gain. The private schools for the rich, rejected the Common Core curriculum and testing. The 99% oppose them, too. It is a responsibility of our Congress, to stop ALEC's detrimental effects on the people of the United States.REPORT COMMENTS

With our testing obsession we have reached the level of absurdity. These tests do not serve to inform instruction, but label our public schools and teachers as failures, and to advance the corporate agenda of privatization of public schools. Shame on the Democratic administration for a helping to advance that agenda.REPORT COMMENTS

HIgh stakes testing is ruining education and has been proven to be an ineffective measure. I hate watching my students who are only fifth graders, so stressed out. I've had two who have had complete panic attacks the morning of the test. It literally makes me want to cry. Project based, cross-curricular lessons is where it is at! Stop over testing our kids. Please! Teacher morale is the lowest it has ever been. Please, stop the testing madness.REPORT COMMENTS

Educators with recognized univ degrees in educating children should determine how to educate children. Not non-educators. Harming children with curriculum, test prep & frequent and long tests.Losing valuable tchng time. Outrageous!REPORT COMMENTS

My children and every child in this country deserve a better education than they can currently receive in our Government run schools. Let's bring back the basics and get rid of Common Core standards (that includes any future programs with the same educational basis and a changed name. We're not stupid you know.)REPORT COMMENTS

The only reason that Common Core exists is that Bill Gates wants to sell more computer hardware to schools, and Pearson Publishing, the corporate that publishers the core, the associated tests, and the worst textbooks in the nation, is making billions of dollars at the expense of our children. End this corruption and abuse now or we will fire you!REPORT COMMENTS
