All parties involved: Haliburton-BP, Goldman Sachs, (that dumped BP stock ahead of time; just like before 9/11 and the housing crash), and those in our OWN GOV'T that REFUSED the help from other countries as soon as this happened, should be held accountable for not only the Deep Horizon Spill, but an INVESTIGATION needs to be done by NON-BIASED parties to connect the dots once and for all. IT SHOULD NOT TAKE A "VOTE" TO INVESTIGATE. This is a BLATANT ACT of ECO/BIO TERRORISM on our OWN SHORES. GET BP OUTTA THE GULF, BRING IN COUNTIES THAT ARE WILLING TO HELP STOP IT & CLEAN IT UP, NIX THE RED TAPE, PLUG THE DAMNED HOLE ALREADY! The sea floor is cracked beyond repair. There are more gushes of oil than just this one pipe. The bottom line is that we can't stop it. Therefore, we do what we can to slow it, and clean whatever we can. STOP THE DISPERSANT USE. There are SO MANY ways people have come up w/ to clean it, strain it, suck it up, etc... Why do they have to go before CONGRESS to get approval?? That's ABSURD. If our Nation's Founders saw what corrupt idiocy is happening on a daily basis inside the beltway, they'd turn DC into Boston! BE TRUTHFUL TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE! Drop the "act" and the "Media blackout". Technology is where we are finding the answers, and the REAL TRUTH. The GULF IS NOT SAFE. The AIR isn't safe. The RAIN is toxic, and it's being seen inland up to NC already. Then again, it was all planned, every president has to have *some* kind of "emergency" to try to "make himself look good" when he "fixes" the problem... Get off the high horse, this is a WORLDWIDE ISSUE. It just happens that it's in our neck of the woods... FIX IT! CLEAN IT! Ditch the BP contracts - current and retroactively. Eco/Bio-terrorism on our soil during a president's term ins't a blemish one would want to have on record... -

BP is running the show right now, aren't they? I mean the House just voted 420 to 1 on S.3462 allowing the Presidential Commission investigating BP full subpoena power in finding out what caused the oil spill in the Gulf. Then the Senate turns around and blocks S.3462 not allowing the Commission to have full subpoena power. How can they do a full investigation on what went wrong and caused this disastrous spill without the power to get all the information? So show the American people that our Government has nothing to hide by stopping all Federal Contracts with BP. This oil spill has woke people up to the level of corruption in our Government. Do something, anything to prove that you stand for the best interests of the American people instead of big Corporations.REPORT COMMENTS

Why on earth would we give BP more money?? So they can cause a few more lovely disasters??? This is a NATIONAL EMERGENCY caused by sloppy, greedy business practices. I am FURIOUS that our government subsidized this crap. You must realize that US-hating terrorists are thrilled by this! I'm sure they wish they had caused all this damage, which is still increasing and will last for decades.REPORT COMMENTS

it is disgusting what BP is doing on our shores. I don't think most Americans, Canadians, and Central and South Americans understand the environmental and financial impact that this is causing.REPORT COMMENTS

Get rid of our dependence on oil once and for all, especially foreign oil and their companies. Do something bold and brave for this nation. By the way, you've about lost my vote by your inaction in the gulf crisis and AZ border issue. You have the next 2 years to do what is right and defend your people and nation or you will lose my vote.REPORT COMMENTS
