    I believe this should be a given. Death of a spouse or child. I lost my husband suddenly in November of 2008 with two small children to raise. 3 days is not enough time.

    I lost my husband by inches to cancer Feb 2011. Three days is not enough to grieve when you are surrounded by a fog for months. More time is needed. I hope the members of Congress understand.

    This is just basic humanity. In fact this should be at least doubled for widowed parents of minors. PLUS the government should provide these families with a stipend since the employer does not pay during FMLA.
