This would be a big threat to our national security by getting rid of very well trained pilots. It will take several years to train enough pilots in the active duty Army to replace the guard pilots. If there is any reason that we would need the Apaches in action we would have a lot of inexperienced pilots fighting the enemy.REPORT COMMENTS

The National Guard Apaches and their assigned units provided crucial support to the active duty Army in two wars over the last 13 years. The level of training of National Guard pilots matches or is greater than that of their active duty counterpart and it would be a blatant waste of tax payer dollars to remove that skill set and knowledge from the National Guard.REPORT COMMENTS
