We can not allow the Army to take away the National Guard Apaches! Please help, this is the beginning of the weakening of National Guard's ability to defend from within!

Save the helicopters. My dad was a pilot and I think they are needed for our national security.

In no sense does this move make any sense, an AD unit costs more, and has far less experience. Further this move would strip the Army of a reserve combat capability. The Guard doesn't just fight forest fires and rescue people from floods, the Guard is the combat reserve the AD needs in time of war. Finally, currently active duty pilots and ground crew personnel who tire or otherwise need to leave active duty often go into these Guard units where their expensive skills and expertise are retained for years to come. Strip the Guard of these aircraft and that experience all walks out the door, lost forever.
