Please save our Headstart Programs: This program is essential to all children, they need it, we need it. I just would like to say that my three children attended headstart at one time. Head Start is exactly what the name implies. Please give the children who get little attention or help at home, to know what to expect when they go into the school system. We just went through Kindergarten Screening in our area. We recieved three calls from the school praising the way our children were able to acheive in their screening. Our parents need our services so they can attend school and go to work. We also provide a support system to families who may not have anyone to talk too about troubles they maybe having or help they need to get services for their children who need educational help through the school system. Please help us to continue to help these children and their families.REPORT COMMENTS

Head Start has helped so many children from low-income families. Not only is it a preschool, Head Start also helps the children involved with the program learn important life skills that they may not have had an opportunity to learn at home. Head Start also gives healthy food to children who are not always guaranteed to have a good meal (or no meal) at home. I would really be disappointed to see this program go away. Please consider the negative implications that this could bring if it were cut.REPORT COMMENTS
