While banks and corporations enjoy billions in subsidies and low interest loans, huge burdens of debt are foisted on the people who are the hope of our future, ripping the "American Dream" to shreds. It certainly seems to me that the new corporate "people" have more rights and privileges than the real, flesh and blood people of our nation. Our supposed representatives have given us as hostages to Wall Street and the big banks. This is a ruinous policy and will bring this country to its knees if it does not change. Please support this bill. I have carried crushing debt for 25 years, and paid back $29,300.75 (which is 97% of original loans); only to now be 64, unable to get work, health issues, and have Navient wanting over 20% of my social security - leaving me $1,066 a month to try to live on. Impossible. I will be living under a bridge soon with no medication. I can't believe this is the United States of America. We would be better off being thrown into debtor's prison. Please don't be bought off by Sallie Mae and Navient super PAK's. Do your job to protect U.S. citizens from predatory lending. RESTORE BANKRUPTCY TO END THIS ABUSE THAT IS ABSOLUTELY RUINING LIVES AND SLOWING THE ECONOMY BY CRIPPLING EDUCATED TAXPAYERS ABILITY TO EARN AND PROSPER.REPORT COMMENTS
