We need air conditioning on school buses. We have kids going to school when it's 100*degrees outside and heat index over 100* degrees on the buses, WITH NO A.C.! Very dangerous conditions for the students let alone the driver.Jun 9th, 2016Someone from Omaha, NE signed.

I drive school bus. The schools are staying open longer into the summer. The 90s are predicted this week. I only have one very small fan in the bus and NO AC. The windows are NOT ALLOWED to be opened more than a couple inches! The kids are on these sweat busses for over an hour during the hotest part of the day. I, the driver, am terrified because i have had heat stroke in the past and am susceptable to it more now and get very nauseous in extreme hot temps...which can be 120 degrees inside a bus. REQUIRE COOLING SYSTEMS OF SOME SORT IN EVERY SCHOOL BUS!REPORT COMMENTS

Children spend a lot of time on the buses, sometimes an hour or more each way. The drivers spend much more than that. Are we subjecting the drivers and our children to sweat shop conditions? That does not seem right to me.REPORT COMMENTS

Children often misbehave and hang out the windows or have other extremetities such as their arms and through objects out the windows at oncoming traffic forcing drivers to close the windows. Asking the to stop the offense doesn't work. Writing up the incident dosent work as well.REPORT COMMENTS

A bus can get very hot, just like a car with Windows up. So If you cannot leave a child in a hot car why can children be on a hot bus for an hour or more?REPORT COMMENTS

On a 90 - degree day, the temperature inside a school bus can reach double digits. Windows down only helps so much as busses drive slower and have frequent stops, which doesn't allow for much of a breeze.REPORT COMMENTS

I was told the reason buses do not have AC is because most of the cold air would be lost every time we open the door. By the time I finish my bus run I have to completely change my clothes because there soaked. I'd Love to see this law changed for our children. Thank You for your time.REPORT COMMENTS
