I am an insulin dependant diabetic for over 20 years. I have seen insulin price skyrocket to the point of not being affordable.

ALL medications and the items used to administer them...ie an insulin pump and the supplies required for it need to be reduced. We should not be used as an easy way to make quick money! Type 1 diabetics have done NOTHING to cause this disease and should not be bankrupt because of it just so big business can keep getting bigger. I, nor any other person with diabetes and their family, should not have to choose between life and DEATH! Or choose to pay a mortgage payment or live; buy groceries to feed my children or insulin to stay alive to parent my children. This has to stop! I take care of myself and manage my disease and yet I'm penalized with high costs and can not get any financial assistance because my husband and I are working class and make too much money. Really?

Even with insurance I sometimes am unable to pay the cost for insulin. It would be helpful to those with or without this life saving miracle drug that insulin cost goes down. I go through about 200+ units a day so that is about a vial of Humalog every 5 days.

I am a single mother of 2 type 1 diabetic children! Theres NO WAY our family can afford a price increase in insulin! That's just rediculous that companies can do this to innocent people, people that WILL DIE without their meds!

These stories are becoming increasingly more common. I refuse to continue electing officials that allow (or are paid to allow) this. This is not what our country was founded upon and going back to the robber baron days disgusts me.

Both my son and I are t1 diabetics. Together our insulin costs average over $1,200 dollars a month. That doesn't include insulin pump supplies, test strips, etc. Without this medication, we will die. This needs to stop in our country! Life-saving medication needs to be more accessible!

I am appalled that medications for people who need them to survive can cost so much. Should people have to take out loans in order to stay alive when it should be up to the insurance providers that WE PAY to help cover these costs? It isn't right and it needs to change right now.

This is absolutely unacceptable. The Pharmaceutical companies are getting out of control. The Health Care System is BROKEN, these life saving medications should not be unaffordable, and the people who need them to LIVE should not have to go BROKE to buy them. Why is the government allowing big Pharma to hold a gun to our people's heads? This is HIGHWAY ROBBERY in the worst kind! Fix it!!!!! NOW! Please..."Lead, follow, or get out of the way!"
