I have Gastroparesis, Its been one year today since I was diagnosed..I went to the hospital very sick, and it took them till August to find out what was wrong with me..At that point, I had already lost 79 lbs and couldn't do much without getting sick ... Today, I find myself down 100 pounds and wondering what the next step will be..Hoping there is medication out there that is available to help with this silent disease..most meds out there for Gastroparesis doesn't work for most of us .. Do you know what it's like to be sick and in pain and a parent . A parent that can't go to field trips to watch their kids play sports ... It's not an easy life for any of us...please help and support Gastroparesis so that we can live a normal life... -

I want to be a productive American with a livelihood. GP and related illnesses are often ignored. Please help us. We need funding for medical research and public awareness. As a tax paying, honest American I deserve acknowledgment. America has some of the best Medical people in the world but they cannot search for cures or treatment without government funding and public awareness. Please help us!REPORT COMMENTS

I have suffered from this illness all my life. I was only diagnosed last year with this illness long after it had destroyed my life. If I had known what I had much earlier, I would have been able to manage the illness and have a functional healthy life right now. But as a result of doctor's lack of knowledge about this disease, I am still on the very difficult fight of bringing my body back from an illness that almost killed me. I have had doctor's tell me most healthy people would have never survived what I have been through. I have also been told that it will be a fight to get my health back. I am fighting. Please fight with us so others can also get the help they need instead of getting ignored and watching their health fail needlessly.REPORT COMMENTS
