Gastroparesis is a very painful in agonizing illness. We need funding for research we also need to be recognized. This illness has no mercy. We literally are starving to death but it also cause othe medical issues. It changes our lives physically and mentally. I have not been the same since I got sick over two years ago. It also affects my family. I am in and out of the hospital all the time , I have gone septic twice in two months and almost lost my life. I lost over 60 pounds and got down to 92 pounds. Im on my last life line the catheter for tpn but it's also a danger because of high infection rate. Those of us suffer everyday from pain, nausea, vomiting and do on. We have medications to help with symptoms but the medications such as pain meds. Cause our stomachs to slow even more. It's like a double edged sword. We need the pain meds along with nausea , constipation and other meds. This illness also causes other problems such as migraines , liver, and gallbladder issues , that's just to name a few. We NEED research so badly if not for a cute but to help get through a day. Let's not forget the mental part because I can't work anymore , I can barely drive anymore it makes me feel worthless and s burden on my family , even though I have the best support ever. Please take this illness serious because many of us are dying from it.REPORT COMMENTS

My fiancé was diagnosed with Gastroparesis a year ago..She has changed her diet and eating habits several times..As of today she is down 100 pounds, and continues to keep losing weight..She is a mother of four, and is very busy..the awareness for this disease needs to expand, and I hereby sign this petition in hopes of that happening...REPORT COMMENTS
