I am a mom of two kids who thier dad is in prison for a non vilolent crime. It is hard for them cause they nver see him . It has been going on 7 years and my kids r now 12 and 8 so they have grown without a father. And yes it was for drugs but he had straightened out his life and got off drugs and was working for a couple years supporting his family . Then got charged for the past. Which I fo believe pay for what u did . But I mean 20 years for a non violent crime is crazy whn someone who has hurt a child get probation or a couple years makes no sence to me or anybody I have talked to . I think we need to update r laws a lil better thn that . Cause I know my kids dad is a good man ! And I'm sure there r plenty more in the system that have been serving time for non violent things. And could b out and a help to them selves thier families and the community. And save all us tax payers some money .REPORT COMMENTS
