I'm tired of living in a country where I don't feel safe. I'm tired of practicing lock downs at school just so we can prepare in case of a school shooting. I'm tired of seeing all these mass murders happen and then hearing people complain. If we really wanted to see an end to people being murdered, we'd put restrictions on guns. I'm not saying get rid of them completely because I know that would start an uproar here in America for those who believe strongly in the second amendment. I'm saying that only the most qualified citizens should be just considered for owning guns with lots of background checks. I noticed that the stocks for gun companies went up today. I don't understand that because guns are what are causing the problem. I get that people want to protect themselves but owning a gun wouldn't have made any difference in the mass murder that just happened. Personal guns wouldn't have been allowed in the concert to begin with so why do people think it could have been stopped? Guns kill people because guns do not shoot themselves. People murder people and this country will continue to see people being murdered left and right if we don't put a stop to it. This country should be taking notes from other countries that have put a ban on their guns. No mass murders happen there. We are not a safe country and mass murders here are not a matter of "if". They're a matter of "when" and they're going to continue to keep happening and thousands of more people are going to continue to get hurt until this country decides to put an end to it. Enough is enough. It's time to unite and put the guns away. If not, the death total is going to continue to rise. It's inevitable.REPORT COMMENTS

I am tired of living in a country where the people who are supposed to represent us don't care about how many civilians possess these guns or how many people have been brutally murdered by them. Why is this petition so old? Someone should post how many people have died via mass shootings since this petition was originally created.
