Gastroparesis has greatly impacted my life, my quality of life! This needs to be acknowledged as a disability. I'm so sick, I have other chronic diseases too, but my GP is the worst. I can't eat, drink, if I do I get very ill and sometimes for days. I'm malnourished and underweight. Can't stand or walk for more than a few steps. There's no job I could do, although I miss my life so bad. I was diagnosed when I was just 34, now 38. The pain is unbearable most days, I still have a family to care for. They miss out on so much. -

I have been suffering from gastroparesis for now 6 months. I would never wish this horrible illness on anyone. It destroys ones quality of life. Sometimes I am so malnourished and weak that Simply walking a short distance will put me in bed for days. I believe gastroparesis should be recognized as a disability.REPORT COMMENTS

I have other disabilities (brain tumor/facial pain/mental health disorders) and now I have to deal with this wretched condition. Gastroparesis makes me miserably sick. I wake up vomiting in the night. I can tolerate very little and few types of foods. I am irritable, hungry, nauseated, bloated, cramping and my brain stays foggy. This condition alone is enough to incapacitate anyone. Please recognize this illness for the disability that it truly is.REPORT COMMENTS
