I think it must have or able to give deaf-blind access with parents help . That very selfish that limit their access in this world...hearing got 100 percent access .. Mentally, physically n hearing impaired they don't want deal cuz no patient or understanding or deal with disability... We are human n give it all like we all get together for better future... Thank you n work together..

Deaf education in the United States has been moving backwards for some time: more children are being language deprived; more children are being isolated from their peers, mainstreamed alone with no one to communicate with except an interpreter (who is often times under- or unqualified); and more children are being deprived of instruction because they're not being given access via qualified teachers and interpreters. As parents, if hearing children were only receiving access to a fraction of their educations, we would be outraged; yet, for Deaf children, this is the norm. Children have only ONE opportunity to receive an education - a free, appropriate education as provided under the law. Is time to do better by our Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing students.

The needs of the deafblind are mot being met by our schools. It is a low incidence disability and these students are often underestimated and misunderstood. Since there are few classroom teachers trained to work with these students, the intervener is critical to the student's chance to reach their potential.
