When I see the countless stories of abuse, and the people that abuse animals only getting a slap on the wrist, it just makes me sick. Abusing an animal is no worse than abusing a child or another human being. Studies show that the children or young adults that abuse animals may often become serial killers. ANYONE that can hurt a living being and get their thrills from it, is a sick individual. They shouldn't just get a slap on the wrist with a little fine. They need more jail time, higher fines, and American needs to learn that ABUSE of any sort will NOT BE TOLERATED. If you have not seen any of the videos of abuse, I encourage you to view them, then try NOT to pass a law. There are countless videos of dairy animals, other farm animals being tortured just for fun. Dairy animals made to be pregnant just for more milk, their calves then tortured and killed. Animals put in the care of what are supposed to be "shelters" abused, starved, beaten. If you can look at any of these videos and not cry, not feel for the animals, and don't feel for the animals, then you have no heart either. Please, please, please, pass a law to protect those with no voice. -

People who abuse children can go to jail for a long time. Those who abuse animals should also be subject to long prison terms. It is a well known fact that people who abuse animals ALSO abuse people. 5 of my dogs are rescues, 3 threw out on the street to fend for themselves and starve to death, one left as a small puppy on the street..infested with fleas, worms, and gashes all over her little body..she was half dead, and the last one came from a puppy mill, he has scars all down his back, and is terrified of everything! He was a year old and had never been out of a crate. Animal abuse needs to stop! If a person abuses an innocent animal that cannot defend itself, its only a matter of time before they turn on their own!REPORT COMMENTS
