I have a 25 yr old son and I have often told him not to ever resist or say anything back to a copy. It's yes sir or no sir. I know cops have a tough job but I've seen videos of a lot of them using excessive force and it doesn't take much to set them off. The brutal beating of this man seems to be completely uncalled for and I hope that the matter isn't swept under the rug. These cops need to be held accountable for this man's death.REPORT COMMENTS

Those who do nothing to stop fellow officers are as guilty as those who use excessive force, and should be held responsible for the crime they are committing against the very public they are charged to protect and to serve. Appaled by the additional officers joining in and the damage they inflicted on a non-combative Kelly Thomas. I have seen the photograph that shows the end result, and it's horrifying. It started with two officers, then four more jumped in without knowing what preceded the beating the original two officers were inflicting (he was NOT resisting!). Please make the additional officers just as, if not more accountable, for not stopping the excessive force of their fellow rogue officers, but rather adding to it.REPORT COMMENTS
