I got this disease when i was only 14 years old. i am 21 now and i have been suffering from depression ever since i found out i had it. i vowed that i wouldnt let this beat me but as i struggle with this disease i find it harder and harder to not loose hope. to think that millions of people are going through what im going through is just criminal. i feel that this is my only chance to live because im so dead inside. there are millions of us out there strugling with this curse wont you please sign the petition to give us atleast some hope.Feb 3rd, 2011Someone from Providence, RI signed.

Herpes is misunderstood, it can lead to other very complicated challenges for children, pregnant women, people with HIV/Aids, the immune deficient, on and on... there needs to be a vaccine, at best a CURE! It is a silent traveler in our society, please help fund this research!REPORT COMMENTS

I have had herpes for 10 years and haven't had a girlfriend since then. My self-confidence has been shattered and I have struggled on and off with depression. I have two friends in similar situations. I have no doubt that if science focused on a cure, one could be developed in a few years.
