If there is a way to treat this, then there is a way to cure it. I myself acquired this recently and was in so much dismay/disbelief. It happens to the best of us. The gov't needs to put aside being so money focused and think about the people of this nation....Really. Companies are getting their money as we are paying for treatments (i.e. Valtrex) so don't you'll think that we'll pay for a cure? This is a serious condition that ruins a person quality of life both mentally and physcially. I've never begged for nothing in my life before until now! -

Herpes may not be fatal, but it is killing me and has been for almost 20 years! It has changes my life in every way possible and haunts me every day. People who "do not" have herpes (symptoms/outbreaks) have no idea how debilitating it really is. It has made me socially, sexually crippled... not to mention the losses associated with potential, meaningful, sexual relationships. I feel like an hopeless outcast.REPORT COMMENTS

I acquired herpes accidently through one of my first sexual experience. I have been living with this for over two decades and it has presented an unecessary burden, both emotionally and health wise. Out of pure accident, I myself ended infecting a girlfriend years ago.
