And to think, another way for Congress to pad their pockets!! They vote themselves a payraise, then go and say to hell with the elderly and their Social Security.

This is the most underhanded action I have heard of. The gov. has no right to do this.

Just what I need. Insted of a raise in my social security another tax on money I have been taxed on timeless times before. I love this country but hate what the government is doing to it's over-taxed Americans!

We should be lowering taxes not raising them. Also, how about giving an increase in the amount that can be written off our income tax for money lost in investments. Some of us will never live long enough to write it off.

No - Do not pass this tax. Taxes are too burdensome as it stands now. Our government and all the new taxes have already become oppressive.

I simply cannot afford to payout anymore. Our state, county, and local entities have already raised every conceivable cost they could and now the goverment is going to hit us as well. I am a nurse and will be forced to let my health care insurance go at the end of this year. At fifty years old I have nothing due to this recession. It is time the people who have the money pay their fair share. Cut the wages and benefits to federal, state and local goverments. Put Clinton and Gore back in office so they again clean up this mess. I ay no to HR-4646. Our goverment officials created this problem, you dig the american tax dollars out of your greedy little pockets and fix it.

I already pay taxes on the money I earn. This bill makes it like I then have the privilage to deposit it. This is double taxation. This bill if passed will criple an alreadfy struggling economy. I am not for this tax. I think many of our elected officials have lost their minds.

We pay enough taxes, fees, surcharges, etc without this sneak in of a tax on bank transactions. The banks just got a massive bailout from the people and now the government is acting to destroy the banking industry by taxation. Americans will just start burying their money and using cash instead of banks.

This bill will be devasting to families and businesses. I own a very small school and most of the money deposited into my account belongs to students. Yet I would have to pay a tax when I receive the money and another tax when I write a check to the student. The transfer of money from a families' account to their college student would result in a double taxed. The list goes on and on. This has not been properly thought out. This will devastate families, businesses, and retired folks. This is insane.

Every year I pay enough state & federal income tax to support 6 or 7 individuals on supplemental security income benefits for a year-i am single & have a 2-person business. If government continues to tax those of us who work & produce, our businesses will fail. Then, whom will Obama & his team tax?
