This bill is ridiculous! Who says that 1% you want to take will be used to pay down the debt. Congress has said a lot of things and changed gears later! Instead of transaction tax, why not eliminate income taxes and replace with flat sales tax rate. You can't be more non-discriminating than that!REPORT COMMENTS

It's time the people we voted in to government live like they expect us to. Cut their pension to the same as we have. (put in your money not mine) and go on social security like me. Put the money that we the people paid in for them in the SS fund to save it. Put on a two term limit and serve in honor. It is an honer to serve in congree ar the house. After two terms, go home to your job and pay your taxes like we have to and I'm sure things will be looked at differently.REPORT COMMENTS

Wow now we are down to double taxation, and I dont believe for a minute that income taxes would really be phases out. And why is it up to us to lower the deficit when we didnt cause it? The government needs lower pay, same insurance we have, same retirement, and less overall spending, not making us pay for stupid things they get that we dont. I could go on forever. Pretty sad that most of us hardly make it in todays world, now they want us to pay another tax on every transaction? I see that causing more unpaid bills for the american people, they just dont have the right to charge me for using MY money I earn and pay my taxes on. Wake up AMERICAREPORT COMMENTS

We American's didn't vote for all the pork and pet projects in bills that spent our tax money. All American's should live within their budgets, avoid bankrupcy except in extreme cases, and limit personal debt to 15% or 25% of annual income....so should the government. Spending by politicians is OUT OF CONTROL. I foresee this bill further injuring our fragile economy. Who's to say CEO's can be honest about submitting this tax anyway? More red tape, auditors=COST.REPORT COMMENTS

What happen to full disclosure and public review. Act like Americans and budget your finances based on what you have instead of what your can tax. All the LIERS should be put out to pasture without any benifits. Now that would save us a few bucks. Today will be a great day.REPORT COMMENTS

First YOU bail out the richest men in the world during the admininstration of George W. Bush. Then YOU do the same during Obama's term and call it a stimulus (like we're dumb enough to believe this). Tax us to oblivion directly and indirectly (through fiat money and hyperinflation), then you want to tax 1% of all transactions? Notice I said YOU and not WE. This government is no longer "We The People", it is a bunch of gangsters who represent the Military-Inustrial Complex, Big Pharma, Wall Street and the Federal Reserve banking cartel. This is not an outrage. This is treason and all proposing this should be held accountable for his/her actions.REPORT COMMENTS
