Do I remember Obama saying something about taxes not going up? If DC would stop spending money we do not have they would not think they needed this extra. If Obama's would stay in DC for more than a week it would also help out.REPORT COMMENTS

At the basic level of taxation ? it is 1% today ? with the option of increasing it at anytime. Multiple instances of the 1% tax at every transaction, I think not. Possible scenario: Paycheck received from employer 1%, move $200 to savings 1%, use a credit card to purchase something 1%, use bill pay to pay for the same purchase 1%. This bill does not address Social Security payments so I guess this is on top of the 3 + % we pay for that? It was introduced by Democrats prior to the mid-year elections of 2010 so for those, in congress, who still feel the need to pursue this atrocity, I say ?beware of the next election cycle- your pompous status may not be retained.REPORT COMMENTS

Cut your pay and no more retirement benifits for congress or house get a real job or business to help you with retirement not the tax payers.REPORT COMMENTS
