If I, a white police officer, can be charged w/assault during an arrest of a drunken 6'8", intoxicated B/M, w/a knife, who'd already assaulted 2 others, & threatened several others, who was resisting arrest, like a REAL police officer, I think it's the least I/WE can expect.REPORT COMMENTS

The duties of those Officer serving on a installation is the same as those serving in other capacities of the Federal government as LEO's. To serve and protect citizens, but the DOD wants to tie are hands and limit are authority by using choice words like apprehend instead of arrest, which is the same thing, your taking someone's freedom away. It really boils down to the benefits and retirement, the DOD does not want to pay for them.REPORT COMMENTS
