I have two masters degrees from top universities but due to issues with H1B quotas and reservations of certain companies to sponsor H1 had to convert to H4 in order to be with my family in this country. US Universities regularly attract students with the promise of better opportunities and jobs, however, the reality presented upon graduation is often miserable to say the least. Allowing skilled workers to work on H4 will not only help attract and retain foreign brainpower to this country but will also help rebuild a strong, and robust economy. This country is great because it was built by immigrants, as a melting point of different points of view and perspectives. Allowing deserving candidates to fill jobs that are currently vacant due to insufficient talent pool will only help to build the future of USA. Please pass the bill to allow H4 dependent spouses to work legally in this country.REPORT COMMENTS

Please approve this rule. It will benefit many spouses like me who are highly educated and can contribute in a positive way to your economy. I pursued both, my masters and bachelors degree here in the US. When I finished I moved back home to start my life, I had a decent job in economic research, but then my husband was transferred to the US, so we had to move here. Now I can't work because of my status as a dependent, and I really want to work, I want to contribute after all the years of effort while studying and I want to feel empowered. Please help all the women that are in situations like mine. Thank you.REPORT COMMENTS

This should b passed and it will be a great achievement for not only highly skilled visa population but to USCIS and US government too. How ? Ans:- Mostly these H1b holders who work so many years in US do good but most of them are not able to contribute to US economy the way they want. If given a chance 70% will instead of doing/getting a job will start providing a job by building small business enterprises. Now, coming back to from their job roles as a highly skilled non-immigrant worker class; these people are always trying to adjust their households as only they are working and not their spouse. I believe this must be taking their lot of concentration which is important on any job-deliverables. Remember, the first hand question was why they come here? They came here because they were better then many in the world with special skillsets and they need al their concentration and focus on doing their job to make US a strong and power nation ever. I HOPE US SENATE PASSES THIS ! God Bless America !REPORT COMMENTS

I strongly support this bill. This bill is oppressive for those who can not put their years of hard work to good use by contributing financially. It does not promote equality either as most of the folks on H4 are women.REPORT COMMENTS
