I kept waiting and waiting for my son to turn 18 so I could finally have a bond with him again. He has since tuned 18 and chooses not to speak with me it has been over 4 years since I have spoken to him. There is a long history of abuse from my ex and I am not going to put it all on here for a public post. Parental alienation has a ripple effect and my whole family has been harmed because of it. My mother is in her 70s and I am close to 50 - life doesn't last forever. She misses her grandson and I miss my son. I think it should also be noted here that CPS/DHS petitions to terminate parental rights because a parent is not jumping through the hoops or getting recovery in their time frame...I would like to note; my life has changed significantly in the last 8 years and recovery is possible. I would also like to note that tearing a child away from the parent is traumatic - it is a deep soul wound for some of us. One question...What would you do if your child was taken?REPORT COMMENTS

My 2 year old sons father used trickery and manipulation to get sole custody of our son with a stipulation agreement. He since has allowed me to see our son less than a handful of times, only if I am willing to go to his residence and endure his abuse. He doesn't allow contact with my family. Stricter laws on contempt of court, on due process in FLC, and better training to recognize the behaviors of a narcissistic parent would reduce the number of PAS cases in the U.S.A, as well as change the overall attitude towards the alienated parent that "they shouldn't have chosen a narcissist to have a child with".REPORT COMMENTS

It is sad the judge didn't even look at the paperwork to see my ex was very abusive, a drug user and had supervised visitation. My child is 15 and has been with him for 2 years and she doesn't want to see the person that fed her clothed her and kept her safe. No one will listen and she is the one suffering and hurting. She is so angry all the time because of what she hears. It breaks my heart so many others are going through the same thing. I pray every day for peace for the children.REPORT COMMENTS

Kidnapping is against the law, yet the law allows a parent (the alienator) to help a child make a choice that "they" want nothing to do with their estranged parent. Alienation is kidnapping via brainwashing or other means. I find it appalling that my only recourse is to engage privately with an attorney that I can't afford. Why is my government not protecting these children and allowing this type of behavior to exist? Years from now, we will be discussing and comparing the emotional damage incurred by these children to the severity of the emotional damage done by a pedifile.REPORT COMMENTS

I am the target parent and I have lost a daughter to Parental Alienation - the worst form of abuse to another human. Our daughter is not allowed to love me, her siblings or her extended family. Our daughter is encouraged to stand before a court and state why she does not want to spend time with me or her siblings.
