As a mother and family law attorney I assure you that parental alienation is real. It happened to me. It is a tragedy and nothing short of child abuse that is usually perpetrated by a parent with some sort of personality disorder. The harm it causes if often irreparable and will affect the alienated child for life. Legislators, Judges, attorneys and mental health professionals must be educated to know and recognize the signs early on so that steps can be taken to protect these innocent children.REPORT COMMENTS

Father obtained custody vial false allegations, was allowed to move out of state, was supposed to come back to review... did not... I could not find them for years. I spent past four fighting for them, as he has been encarcerated 3 times in 3 years and they were completely neglected... I have been all over this country to help them. He sits now in federal prison. I just ended a case that began as a result of his last giant failure as a parent. They hate me and grew up believing I was on drugs, in jail and did not want them... My son is stable where he is so I had to allow him to stare there because he is finally stable after the years of this alienation from the one person who could and did every thing possible to help them. My daughter is almost of age and if this horrible father gets out of jail, her custody will revert back to him. She is only 17 and will protect him at all costs, has open serious charges on her and this is a multi juisdictional failure by multiple courts and child services ... All his games in the beginning all began when he wanted the house and kids and a 2o year old girlfriend to take my place and ended when he got the kids All dismissed and not guilty ... very much to their detriment. They were happy children and I never participated in any types of badmouthing ... I am only left to wonder how much different they would be now, had they not been robbed of the love of their own mother who has proper morals and stability. This is becoming a tragic norm and we now have a desensitized society to children who are in crisis... Alienation and complete Severance our of the lives of a loving parent traumatic and detrimental to their development into well adjusted teens and young adults. They are not sick.. They have been and continued to be robbed of irreplaceable bonds that can only be filled by the special role that each parent has in the life of any child... this must end for parents and children everywhere.REPORT COMMENTS
