Please think long and hard about your decisions to take care away from our cancer patients which will in turn take away many jobs. You to might have cancer one day and need treatment. Think about those who don't have the means to get the treatment they need that you do.

Please don't restrict patients access to quality cancer care with the proposed Medicare payment reductions. These reductions will seriously limited patients access to both curative and palliative treatment.

The proposed changes in their current form would decrease reimbursement for certain services at free standing radiation centers by up to 44%. This will result in many centers becoming unsustainable, and certainly deter others from opening new centers. These changes will result in a decrease in convenience and availability of these services for patients. Studies suggest that patients who have to travel longer distances for their radiation are less apt to chose to have radiation therapy despite the fact that such therapy is proven to improve their chance of CURE of their cancer. Current legislation will decrease the cure rate for cancer patients, and be a slap in the face to those in the trenches fighting the war on cancer.

I am speechless...rather there is so much to say about this, it is incredible. I pray that the government will demonstrate that it is making decisions that will allow people to live rather than die...Will they let people die because of money??? Or will they work on this until there is a MORAL solution?? Few of us can afford to pay for all cancer services on our own...it can and will drive us into bankruptcy...IF we survive, that is...Do we all have to take to the streets and demonstrate?? This is totally ridiculous!!! What does it take to wake this government up??? How about: We're mad as ****and we won't take it anymore!

The proposed cuts will mean that we will have to ration radiation therapy services to patients in our district and perhaps even close one or more of our centers and consolidate locations We are a provider of radiation therapy services for the past 30 years in South metro Atlanta. We all must assure access to cancer care. Congress should not allow the destruction of cancer care in this country.

Dear Congressman or Congresswoman, Rather than cut funding for all cancer care, initiate easy strategies to eliminate wasteful proceedures (in office exclusions) enact tort reform. You will save money I promise.
