As a radiation oncologist, and former University Clinical Associate Professor, I have never been able to provide better state-of-the-art care for prostate cancer patients (highest cancer incidence in the world), customized to patient needs, than at a Urology owned center. This is good for patients!!! But we need continuation of current (or higher)reimbursement rates to continue the fight against the plague of cancer. Our expenses increase faster than inflation!

This is a shame to cut medical cost after we have worked all of our adult life to make things better for the generation coming behind us. Shame Shame on you.

I am undergoing cancer treatments at this time and if you were to cut Medicare payments to the cancer centers alot of people will not be getting the treatments they they need to stay alive. What if it was one of your family members or a close friend wouldn't you want the best treatment for them?

There are over 10,000,000 persons alive today after a cancer diagnosis. Great strides in the treatment of cancer over the past thirty years has resulted in improved suvival rates at five years for breast cancer ( 89%), prostate cancer (99%) leukemia, lymphoma amoung others. Advanced technology and specialized training by physicians are required to diagnose, treat, and monitor treatment efficacies. Reduction in reimbursements will result in rationing of cancer care with fewer patients reaping the benefits of treatment advances. Why would Congress want to see more Americans dying from cancer???
