This practice is pointless, ineffective, and outdated. The negative effects far outweigh the positives in modern times. DST has become nothing but a massive inconvenience.

Three wrecks on three different highways yesterday morning tying up all traffic leading into D.C..... I am sure some drivers were asleep at the wheel due to this ridiculous daylight savings time 'ritual'! Let's end this already!!!

I lived in Arizona for over 5 years, and not having to worry about switching our clocks was a very welcomed change. Daylight naturally became longer anyway, and we never noticed a change in our habits or found ourselves longing for just a little more daylight. Most importantly, our internal clocks and sleep/work habits were consistent and regular. Now that I'm back in Florida, I again am wondering why this crazy practice is still in existence. The studies about conserving energy which contributed to the latest 2005 Act passed by Congress are simply weak at best, and the other studies about less driving accidents and the benefits it gives to the farming industry are simply not true. The golf industry and gas stations, seem to be the only 2 industries who benefit from this time change, so one really needs to ask why we as Americans are forced to endure this unwelcome adjustment to our schedules. It throws everyone off, especially our children. I know there are more important items on the agenda of Congress these days, however I personally believe the citizens of the United States would see things can get done in Washington, even when the item may be small in comparison. I respectfully ask Congress to consider ending the Daylight Savings Time portion of the 2005 Energy Act.

There's no reason for this nonsense in this day and age.

End this insanity now. Let people change their schedules and stop messing with the natural flow of time. Noon is supposed to be when the sun is at, or close to its highest point in the day. Let's embrace and keep that concept.

If you need more daylight adjust your own schedule, not mine! It's called waking up earlier or later based on your own needs. Do you really need the government telling you when to wake up like your momma did?

I am tired and grumpy. All my lights are on again in the morning and our brains are too tired to remember to flick them off when we leave a room. This sucks.
