It wastes energy. Everybody drives to their shopping. We sure do not need more pollution and oil consumption.REPORT COMMENTS

If there are more people who feel strongly that light is more important in the evenings than in the mornings, I would even accept being on DST permanently. But it makes no sense, and causes a certain amount of harm, to change the clocks twice a year. It doesn't change the amount of daylight, but it does cause accidents and health problems while people adjust to the change!REPORT COMMENTS

Put it to a vote to the people during the next presidential election. It might get more people to the polls. Send the link to your email contacts and ask them to sign this petition. Please stop this nonsense of changing our clocks and disrupting our natural body rhythms.REPORT COMMENTS

I teach high school, the disruption of attention caused by the time change lasts at least a week twice a year. There is no reason to continue this practice because it impacts society on so many levels such as increased car accidents after the change.REPORT COMMENTS

Makes for a wasted week of everyone -- kids, colleagues at work -- staggering around in an exhausted stupor. Is it saving any energy? If not significant, do away with it!REPORT COMMENTS

This changing of the time is tiresome and outdated. Please, in November, when we "fall backwards," let that be the last time we ever touch our clocks for time changes. It is pointless!!REPORT COMMENTS

It is a nightmare for parents with young children. Everyone loses rest, and it takes a few weeks to settle in. No fun for adults in the fall getting up in the pitch black. Please just let time/daylight stay on one track.REPORT COMMENTS

With so many schoolkids engaged in after school activities, DST makes them come home in the dark. So the morning daylight benefit is offset. There is no longer much to be gained by such a disruption in everyone's work/school/operations schedules.REPORT COMMENTS

Or at least return to the pre-2005 dates for starting and ending. That would put us in line with Europe, and reduce early morning traffic accidents in March.REPORT COMMENTS
