Daylight Savings Time is only an inconvenience that causes increased automobile accidents and has limited, if any, benefits. It creates issues for farmers, students, and everyday (especially low-wage) workers throughout the nation.REPORT COMMENTS

I hear that there are more wrecks and heart attacks after a time change than any other days. I don't know whether this is true or not, but I know I'm exhausted for a week after each change. This seems antiquated and unnecessary. If whole countries as large as China and India can work with one time zone and no time change, why can't we?REPORT COMMENTS

I complained when the Bush Administration extended Day Light Saving Time. Yet to appease the consumers and take the pressure off oil companies the GOP promoted this antiquated practice as a energy saving measure. Of course this was pure nonsense and Big Oil continued to hike gas prices. As a Republican even I could see this was a reward to Exon-Mobile for supporting President Bush.REPORT COMMENTS

Daylight Savings Time is SO not needed. Farmers themselves have admitted that they get up at daybreak no matter what time the clock says it is. It would be safer to keep daylight hours for longer and eliminate more accidents and even crime. And most importantly, it would no longer interfere with the precious sleep/wake cycle that humans develop and NEED. I am SO tired today and probably for the next two weeks as this is how long it takes for my body to adjust to the new time shift. We should leave daylight savings time in effect year roundREPORT COMMENTS

Daylight Saving Time is such a fundamental imposition of government force and control over the lives of Americans that I would think it would be an excellent example of something that should be abolished. It serves no real purpose, it doesn't save energy, and, in fact, has a detrimental effect of health and safety. The time has come to get rid if it.REPORT COMMENTS

The sun does not set until 8pm or later, We do not need another hour of sun heat here in the southwest. Yes inland San Diego Ca 20 miles from coast gets hot 100 degree days for months. Electric bills of $400 for a/c from July to Nov. We use more energy during this time change. Suggestion: Split the difference move it 1/2 hour and leave it. or do daylight time in winter when the sun sets at 5pm. The sun give us more daylight till mid June with or without daylight time.REPORT COMMENTS

Please END Daylight Savings Time. The only reason its still exists is because legislators are financially supported by the Chamber of Commerce who want it in order to keep people out later to spend money. It doesn't save energy, it doesn't allow farmers to work longer (pathetic excuse since a farmer will work when its light no matter). Too many negative effects to maintain this practice rationally.REPORT COMMENTS
