It's being counter productive for small kids who go to elementary school and data shows there is no saving in power or it's not helping farmers in anyway. Please conduct more studies to prove point that daylight time savings are indeed helping. Leaving nature alone has always more productive.REPORT COMMENTS

As far as I am aware, one big (if not the main) purpose for DST is to save energy, but research has been inconclusive at best as to whether or not that actually works. It is plain, however, that there are both logistical and health problems with it. It seems clear that it should be done away with. Many people hate; few, if any, people want it. Let's do this democracy thing.REPORT COMMENTS

It's very hard on my children and myself that get up early as it is. For several weeks after the change, grades and sleep patterns are negatively affected.REPORT COMMENTS

Please end the horrific practice of daylight savings. As a school bus driver leaving an hour earlier means danger on the roads. It is dark for the entire first route, the kids are half asleep and I am half asleep! My body takes weeks to adjust. I have already overslept twice this week, even though I went to sleep at my regular time. It is a useless nuisance. Please change this!REPORT COMMENTS

Less energy used, less stress, and safer too, if time stays the same all year round throughout the United States. If one State at a time sure hope FL is next.REPORT COMMENTS

Please end daylight savings. I am having a reaction to the messed up sleep cycle which is causing added stress which is starting to flare up my health issues. I still need to go to work and I'm so beyond tired I feel like I'm stretching myself to thin. It is silly to continue going back and forth. There are already places that no longer take part. Let's just get on board and have one time for all time.REPORT COMMENTS

Makes me tired and, more importantly, destroys my kids' sleep. My toddler who usually goes to bed literally smiling and waving as we close the bedroom door has been crying all week at bedtime. Totally pointless disruption of the entire family's schedule. Please make it stop. Families work hard to build healthy sleep schedules for their kids -- let's not needlessly undo all that work.REPORT COMMENTS

This practice does nothing but disrupt the schedules of every human being. Thus, this unnecessary transition affects the productivity and health of people. In addition, it should not be up to law to decide if a person wants to wake up early or not.REPORT COMMENTS

There is no purpose to this out dated tradition of daylight savings time. It does not save more daylight and never did. It seems like it is only a measure of demonstrating control and separating human beings even further from the natural world than we already are. I believe we would save money not having to spring forward and fall back even if only in the reminders that have to go out. One of many reasons to end it: The school children were just being able to wait their bus pick up in the early morning light and then the time had to be changed and now they are in the dark again. And for what reason? None. Please end this.REPORT COMMENTS

This practice is disruptive to sleep patterns and serves no purpose. There is no legitimate reason to make people feel jet lagged once a year every year.REPORT COMMENTS
