My extended family has lived with this disease and still does.My two nieces were fortunate to be in a school system with their father as a teacher and paved the way for those students after them. However, kids with CF need to feel empowered not burdened anymore than they already are with this cruel disease.Please pass this law to assist CF kids in public schools.REPORT COMMENTS

I have been fighting this with my sons school as well and they will not budge on this! My son has to leave some classes that are quite a long walk to get to the office then another long walk back to the lunch room and never has time to finish his lunch, he sometimes can't even enjoy his recess after his lunch because he never has time, and we all know that recess is important to an elementary student.REPORT COMMENTS

I have a son with CF who is entering kindergarten this year. It is extremely important that he eat frequently to ensure that he keeps a healthy weight. This will not be possible if he is forced to go to the nurses office before snack and lunch each day while his other classmates are half way through lunch. Please help pass this into law.
